Nettwork and Software architect

The main objective of the role is to ensure that the Network and related data communication systems, WAN, LAN, Wireless services and applications are running optimally and smoothly for our key systems at all stages of the service lifecycle.

In addition, you will support the Network Services Department with the transformation of the existing network to a new software defined network architecture with a high level of automation. It is important that the candidate has experience of working in a DevOps environment with software experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Assist in the network software transformation including POCs, design, test cases and validation for data communication, automation and integration with existing services
• Working closely with Cloud, Security and End User Transformation Teams in developing and supporting IaaS, PaaS, SaaS API integration
• Analyse business requirements to develop network solutions and framework
• Working closely with application support team for the resolution of incidents and problems affecting key systems
• Co-ordination and management of network service providers including LAN, WAN and financial providers

MAIN QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• University degree in Information Computing or other relevant field with strong academic records
• Minimum five years’ experience as an Network Architect
• Minimum two years’ experience with Network Software Development
• Experience with scripting including CLI, PowerShell, JSON and Python
• Experience with SDN, CISCO ACI and Microsoft and AWS networking products

• Demonstrated experience in network technologies, architecture, design & security, and management such as :

o             Datacenter virtualisation using Nexus and ACI platform

o             MPLS, L2 (Ethernet, switching), L3 (BGP,IGP)

o             SD WAN and SDN technologies including CISCO ACI and DNA

o             Firewalls including CISCO FTD, FMC, and ASA with AnyConnect

o             IP architecture

• 3rd party vendor/supplier management and co-ordination
• Strong ITIL knowledge and demonstrated experience in capacity, availability, performance management
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
• Up-to-date network certifications (CCIE preferred)
